Ugh. We woke up to a reenactment of the scene from Finding Nemo. No guinea, no eggs, no blood, no eggshells, just a trail of feathers off into the woods.
Madeline and I set in the black and red currants while Marcus and Matthew pushed down a rotten tree. We just have the hazelnuts and goji berries left, which means I’m branching out, no pun intended, and ordering a few bayberries and elderberries while there’s still time to plant them before summer.
It finally warmed up enough to get more plants in the ground. Madeline helped me get the cherry and persimmon trees planted this evening, along with the two honeyberry bushes.
