Seven year old + Calvin & Hobbes = DOOM.

Good idea: Telling your husband the house is on fire.

Bad idea: Telling your husband the house is on fire when you’re asleep and dreaming that the house is on fire.

Shouting “Matthew, there’s smoke coming from the…” and then suddenly waking up is not conducive to a stress-free morning.

The house was very much _not_ on fire. Lucid dreams suck.

* Scrambled eggs look much the same coming up as they do going down.
* Peanut butter crackers are a godsend.
* Sleep is really, really important.

Matthew and Marcus spent the morning assembling and organizing this handy dandy pegboard system.

Matthew said, “So, Heaven is where God is. What would you call a place where God isn’t?”.

And Rebecca replied, “The United States of America?”.

I just about died.
